Milestone Month
The boys turned 7 months old last Wednesday!
What a month this has been. At the beginning of six months we still had babies. Now we have little people. It started with Jeremy deciding to sit up. Soon after he said his first word which of course was "Da" his favorite person. Then Jordan (not to be topped) decided to sit up then he start to scoot on one knee and elbow. Now he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and fourth. As soon as you grab his hands, he takes off running! Then this week he said "Ma". They both got 2 teeth each, 3 days apart. Along with a whole lot of new tricks and noises.
Last week was their first night in their room and in their own cribs. It went well. They only woke up once. I think they were too crowded and waking each other up in the one crib before. They had a little trouble taking a nap since they like to play together before they fall asleep. I may let them take naps together. The month is almost over...they may be potty training next at this rate :)
6 months is so much fun...can't wait to see whats in store for us at 7 months. Gotta lock the cabinets and plug the plugs.
And now...PHOTO ALBUM time!! August photos are uploaded...remember, you can save the photo album and get to it anytime if you have a Kodak Gallery account.
Moving right along...JAG video time!! Jeremy's video shows his last trick...a snort, crinkly nose trick.
In Jordan's video, he was being fussy...Jump Frogz came to the rescue!

I Married A Cover Girl
Easy. Breezy. Beautiful.
It is going to be rough trying to elude the paparazzi from now on. Holly is available for car shows and other publicity events!
*EDIT* this is not a joke, no photoshopping done here. It is a real magazine for Texas' WIC program. I know you can get to the PDF version on the WIC website. Click HERE for the PDF of the above news maganize. There are a couple more pics on page 3 and 4. Not sure where you get the printed version...I guess a health clinic or a WIC store?? Here is the first brochure from their first gig right after the boys were born:
Click the pick and it will take you to the PDF for that brochure on the WIC website. They are on the cover and pages 4-5, 6, 8-9 and the infant feeding plan checklist at the very end.

Screamin' Monkey and the Boy in the Mirror
Quick post to share 2 things with y'all. One, to show you how poor lil' Jeremy is [was] scared of the FlingShot Flying Monkey I have. The FlingShot Flying Monkey is cool... but thats another story. Basically what it is is self contained monkey sling shot that flies through the air. The motion of being shot through the air sets of the monkey screaming.
The scream. Apparently its a pretty freaky scream for Jeremy. The first few times we played with it in the house, it freaked Jeremy out. He cried right away...and every time it screamed. So we didn't play with it.
Eventually we tried getting him used to it. The pictures are from him when he wasn't used to it...so scary. The video is of him starting to get used to it. Check out the face he makes around 10 seconds into the video when Holly asks him if he is okay.
Now...this is awesome. Jordan just saw one of THE CUTEST kids in the world and couldn't stop looking at him. He was sitting in his exersaucer and then noticed the cute kid in the mirror. Man he could not stop looking at the beautiful boy the popped up out of nowhere. He was soooo happy.
And this video is one of both boys just so you can get a Jordan fix. He is starting to get the crawling motion down. In this vid he tries to get on his hands and knees and rocks back and fourth. He got brave today and turned the rocking back and fourth in to a forward lunge!

I'm sorry Mr.DeadlyVenomousDiamondbackRattler guy
Pest control was at our place yesterday morning. When the pest dude was done he brought me over yonder, yonder the side gate...coiled up nice and tight, hidden in the grass in the corner between our A/C unit and the side gate by our house, was a diamondback rattlesnake. Never seen one of these dudes up close and personal. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately I couldn't just leave the side gate open and usher the little pit viper out. So...armed with a big rock and a shovel, I had to secure the homeland and rid it of the slithering sacks of venom.
The pictures are tough to make out. It was probably somewhere between 2-3 feet long, it was tiny. It seems a lot smaller in the pic...but trust me, it was 2 yards long if it was a foot. Once it was dead (I didn't have to use the rock because the lil guy was already set for a long day's slumber) I was able to get a better look. Didn't take pics cause I didn't really enjoy taking a shovel to it (it is one of God's coolest creatures...not like it was a mosquito or fly or a cat), but it had 5 rattles on it...which still rattled some when the nerves kept firing. Same thing for it's jet black forked tongue which kept trying to reach out to me from beyond the grave to exact its revenge on my weak and easily digestible flesh.
Knarf 1, Pit Viper 0...I'm sorry snake.
Glad the doggies didn't find it before we did. The serious lack of rain and 46 days of 100+ degree weather has these belly walkers moving out in search of water. Check out this 7 footer/11 rattle d-back that was killed in a neighborhood not too far from us.
