Baby Dedication

It has taken forever to post, but that is how it goes with twins I guess. So about 2 Sundays ago Austin Stone Community Church had a baby dedication. I just a time for us to share our desire to raise the boys up knowing Christ. The boys had their pictures up with the life verses we chose for them. Each boy also got a Jesus Storybook Bible and we got the book Shepherding a Child's Heart. The boys also got a letter from our lead pastor Matt Carter. Don't know what the letter says. The envelope says the boys can't open until they decide to be baptized. Then we got to pray for the boys. We have been praying for these boys for years now, it is great to be able to pray over them now.

Afterward we went to the high class eatery known as Golden Coral. It was very fun to have family and friends there. Baby Dedication and lunch Photo Album here.

We didn't get to see the pictures of the boys on the big screen with their life verse, so I made our own. You can click on the pics for a larger version, but here are the verses.

Jeremy Alan:
Psalm 139:13-16 (New International Version)

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Jordan Andres:
Zephaniah 3:17 (New International Version)

17 The LORD your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.

JAG Race

The boys were crying. We couldn't stop them. They we're kickin' like crazy. We laid them on their tummies and they started moving forward. So we had a little race.

Been a while...

Been a long time since an update. Now of course there is lots to update on, so I will go in reverse order and get out whats fresh.

Monday we went grocery shopping and then to Schlotzky's. Jordan loves the monkey's on his shoulder straps in his car seat. He really like the monkey's ear...very tasty and fun to suck on. At lunch we noticed that he can now coordinate grabbing the monkey and pushing it towards his mouth!

Last night was our first flag football game. We won big! Mom has Jordan and Jeremy on a good schedule now and they got some naps in earlier in the day. They were on their best behavior at the game. Jeremy was all smiles making people laugh. Jordan was making people laugh too, but not with his smiles...it was his patented evil mastermind stare.

The boys have been sleeping well the last few days. Mom doesn't get a lot of sleep still, but compared to before, the boys are giving her lots of sleep. A couple nights ago they slept for almost 6 hours straight. The boys have their 2nd month wellness checkup on Monday. I will be back with that update. Hopefully before then I can post some pictures and the video of Jeremy and Jordan in a race to death. Well, not death, but they were sort of "crawling." Also got lots of pictures of family visits and the boys...so will get those up soon!

Baby Dedication Tomorrow!

Service starts tomorrow at 9AM. Everyone is invited to join us at the Austin Stone Community Church. Also, I reserved some tables at Golden Coral on Lamar just north of Rundberg if you want to join us for lunch afterward! Here is a map of the church:

No need to give me a heads up about attending the service, I suggest arriving 20 minutes early. When you get there, let them know you are there for Frank and Holly and they might let you in early to get seats with us. If you can, let me know if you will be joining us for lunch so I can reserve some tables. Woohoo!

Oh, and don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour tonight!!

Some Vids

Got some videos of the boys. They are old...the first one is back when they were just 1 week old. We were getting ready to take the boys to their first check-up. We got the boys ready first and then left them in their car seats and got ready ourselves. T-Bone took it upon himself to watch after the boys for us.

This one is the boys first bath (sponge). Its about 5 days after the one above and the kids' heads are still huge compared to the rest of their bodies. Their bodies have caught up to their heads now.
